About Us
Nuzvid (also called Nujiveedu) is a mandal and municipality in Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is 50 km from Vijayawada and 35 km from Eluru. This place is well connected by bus and rail. Nuzvid is well known for its mangoes, which are exported world wide. Nuzvid is a town with 50,338 people. The economy is made up mostly of small farms and small shops but with some seasonal mango pulp canning factories. There is a Science college ,an Engineering college and PG College in town. In Andhra history, the first mutiny was held by Nuzvidians against French colonials. Nuzvid soil cultivated rich history, culture and heritage.
The city is famous for Dasara festival, Chedugudu/Kabaddi (rural sports), basketball and variety of mangoes. Nuzvid Chinna Rasalu (a type of small mango) and Pedda Rasalu (large mangos) are world famous. Each Pedda Rasam mango weighs as much as 3 kg and they are very sweet and tasty.

Nuzvid Veena, Sitar, Tanpura Each Nuzvid Veena is painstakingly crafted by a highly skilled Master Craftsmen with at least 25 years experience. Each veena will vary slightly in the instrument decorations on the body as these are not mass produced but individually hand crafted.In the world third place.
Nuzvid is also famous for its estates(Homes or offices of Kings). There are approximately 12 estates in Nuzvid. It's also worth visiting to see the famous Kukkala Gate (Dogs Gate) and Gurrala Gate(Horse Gate).
Hanuman Temple, Saraswati Temple, Ayyappa Temples are located 5 km away from Nuzvid. Hanuman Temple is also famous with the name Adavi Anjaneya Swami Temple. There are only two Saraswati temples in telugu states ,one in nuzvid ,The other in Basara.
Integrated B. Tech First year classes were started in Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies from 4-September-2008. Now Nuzvid is famous for not only for mangoes but also in studies of Information Technology.They are from same school, i.e. St.Ann's E.M High school, which is a private one. They are Battula Prasanth (569) and Mogadatti Rajeev.
